Barangay Maradodon got its name through the multitude of locusts or dodon that attacked the place. Ilocanos are dominant settlers and some are indigenous Itnegs.
This barangay is located northeast of the Municipality of Cabugao, comprising a total land area of 481 hectares. The forest zone of the barangay covers 300 hectares. 110 hectares is agricultural area, 70 hectares of pasture land and 70 hectares of plain. It also has a coconut farm.
