JOSH EDWARD S. COBANGBANG

Public Servant

At 21 years and 7 months, he is considered the youngest elected mayor in the entire country. (The Previous holder was 21 years and 8 months.)

"But age is just a number. Public servant is not age-sensitive. For as along you have good intensions and you know what is Just and Right, I'm sure that's a good start," Josh Edward Cobangbang reasons out upon his assumption as the Local Chief Executive of the municipality of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

Josh may seem too young but with his upbringing, his faith, his education and most especially his family, has molded him to be a responsible individual, thus ever ready to become a Public Servant, at that. During his elementary and high school studies in St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur, he was instinctively a leader and team player as he spearheaded different projects, endeavors and the likes. He graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Management at De La Salle University in Manila where he also actively participated, shared and stepped up in non-academic activities.

Upon his graduation, he worked as manager of 5J Seguban Agri Ventures marketing which involves him to steer the company for its continuity from past generations to present; to be more productive and to integrate new management innovations.

Born December 01, 1994, Josh is the son of former Mayor Edgardo Salamanca Cobangbang Jr. and Jerlie Seguban Cobangbang. His potential as public servant may have emanated from both his parents - leadership and innate understanding of how to render love and respect to others.

Currently unattached romantically, he is greatly excited to have a growing relationship with his job as this entails loving all those he serves.

"It is important that we work together to continue the development we have achieved in the past six years," Josh intones he acknowledges the obvious development everybody has seen in Cabugao. "It would be a pity if we cannot maintain these gains or even surpass them. I don't get my motivation from a healthy competition with what my father has achieved but from a sincere objective of making things better and easier in our municipality."

There is a learning curb to everything and with his youth, he has all the time and energy to do so.
